HoyaPay Identity Verification Beginner’s Guide

Before using HoyaPay, to ensure the security of your account and comply with relevant regulations, the system requires users to complete a one-time KYC (Know Your Customer) identity verification. Below is an explanation of the verification process and important notes. We recommend reviewing these before starting to improve your chances of approval.

1. Overview of the Identity Verification Process

The verification roughly includes the following four steps:

  • Fill in basic personal information

  • Upload valid identity documents

  • Complete facial recognition verification

  • Submit a personal declaration (if required by the system) 👉 For detailed instructions, please refer to: How to Complete HoyaPay Account Identity Verification

2. Situations Where Verification is Not Supported

Please note the following conditions where identity verification will not be possible. Please confirm in advance:

  • HoyaPay services are not supported in certain countries and regions. For the full list, please see: [HoyaPay Unsupported Countries/Regions List]

  • Each user’s identity information can only be linked to one HoyaPay account. Even if you hold multiple IDs or have closed an old account, you cannot submit verification again.

  • HoyaPay is not available to users under 18 years old at this time.

3. Notes on Filling in Information and Uploading Documents

Filling in Personal Information

  • The name must match the spelling on your ID exactly, paying attention to the order of surname and given name.

  • If you have a middle name, please enter it in the same field as your given name

  • The date of birth must be entered exactly as it appears on your ID, especially the order of day and month to avoid mistakes. For example: November 1, 2006 → should be entered as 01/11/2006 (or the format specified by the system).

Uploading Identity Documents

  • Only document types shown as selectable by the system are accepted. If a document type does not appear, it means that type is not supported in your region. Examples:

    • Hong Kong: ID card, passport

    • Brazil: ID card, passport, driver’s license

  • You must upload original photos of the documents. Photocopies, screenshots, re-photos, blurry images, or damaged documents are not accepted.

  • If required to upload both front and back, be sure to upload clear and complete photos of the same person’s front and back sides.

  • Documents must be valid and have at least three months remaining before expiry; otherwise, the system will reject them.

Facial Recognition Verification

  • The facial recognition must be completed by yourself; photos, videos, or images of others are not allowed.

  • Use the front camera of your device, ensure good network connection, sufficient lighting, and no obstructions on your face.

  • Hold the device vertically (do not use it sideways or upside down), and avoid other people or objects entering the frame.

  • The system may ask you to perform actions (such as blinking, turning your head, etc.); please follow the prompts to improve the success rate.
