What Should I Do If My Card Is Compromised?

HoyaPay reminds users to properly safeguard their card information. Please do not share your card number, expiration date, or CVV with any third party, and avoid entering card details on insecure or unfamiliar websites.

If your card is suspected to be compromised, please take the following steps immediately to minimize potential losses:

1. Freeze the Card Immediately

Log in to the HoyaPay App as soon as possible and freeze the card to prevent further unauthorized transactions.

Path: HoyaPay App → Cards → Freeze

Important Reminder: Before freezing the card, it is recommended to unlink the card from the merchant’s platform first to avoid declined transactions that may result in additional fees.

2. Review Transaction History

Carefully review your account’s transaction history to identify any transactions that were not authorized by you. You can view the merchant name and transaction details on the transaction details page.

3. Contact the Merchant to Request a Refund

Based on the merchant information shown in the transaction records, proactively contact the merchant to explain the situation and request a refund.

4. Continue Monitoring Your Account

If abnormal transactions continue to occur after the card has been frozen, it is recommended to delete the card immediately to prevent further losses.

Card Deletion Path: Cards → Management → Delete Card → Permanently deactivate your card
