HoyaPay Identity Verification (KYC) Guide for New Users

Before using HoyaPay, you are required to complete a one-time KYC (Know Your Customer) identity verification to protect your account and comply with regulatory requirements.

Below is an overview of the verification process and important notes. We recommend reviewing this guide carefully before starting to improve your approval success rate.

1. Verification Process Overview

The identity verification process generally includes the following four steps:

  1. Enter your basic personal information

  2. Upload a valid identity document

  3. Complete facial recognition verification

  4. Submit a personal declaration (if required by the system)

2. Situations Where Verification is Not Supported

Please note that verification cannot be completed in the following cases:

  • HoyaPay services are not available in some countries or regions. Please refer to the actual options shown in the app.

  • Each user’s identity information can only be linked to one HoyaPay account. Even if you have multiple IDs or have closed a previous account, you cannot submit verification again.

  • HoyaPay is not available to users under 18 years old.

3. Important Notes for Completing Verification

✅ Entering Personal Information

  • Your name must exactly match the spelling on your identity document. Please ensure the correct order of first name and last name.

  • If you have a middle name, enter it together with your first name in the same field.

  • Your date of birth must also match the document exactly. Pay close attention to the order of day and month. Example: November 1, 2006 → 01/11/2006 (or as required by the system format).

✅ Uploading Identity Documents

  • Only the document types displayed in the app are accepted. If a document type is not shown, it means it is not supported in that region. Examples:

  • Hong Kong: ID card, Passport

  • Brazil: ID card, Passport

  • You must upload photos of the original document. Copies, screenshots, scanned images, blurry photos, or damaged documents will be rejected.

  • If both front and back are required, make sure to upload clear images of both sides of the same document.

  • The document must be valid and have at least 3 months remaining before expiration.

✅ Facial Recognition Verification

  • The facial verification must be completed by the account holder. Do not use photos, videos, or images of another person.

  • Use the front camera, ensure good lighting, stable internet, and no face coverings.

  • Hold the device upright (do not rotate or turn upside down), and make sure no other people or objects appear in the frame.

  • The system may ask you to perform certain actions (e.g., blink, turn your head). Please follow the on-screen instructions to improve success.
